Tamar – oh! poor Tamar!!! From 2 Samuel 13 verses 14 onwards, the abominable scene is set, the heinous act done. All her pleas and cries fall on deaf ears. Her physical wounding as a result of the scuffle that ensues is nothing compared to the emotional wound she is to experience. She does not believe this is actually happening to her. Oh! How she wishes she could wake up from this tortuous nightmare!
