Mbwiiye,
I am glad that you are all in the Capital, save for a few, for the start of business after the presidential opening last Friday.

Mbwiiye,
Sometimes I wonder if this country will ever get its priorities right.
Of course, it all begins with you fellows in the Capital Assembly who busy yourselves with handclapping instead of discussing national issues. If you are not booing one another, then you are talking about boreholes and feeder roads which, as I told you last week, is the work of councillors and councils.

Sometimes it is good to give credit where it is due; not always saying you are the only one making things happen. Because, by the time people realise the actual truth, your reputation, actual value and respect, all get down to zero or below.

Mbwiiye,
Sometimes it is good to say things openly before they get out of hand, as I said last week.
There is actually something that has been bothering me for some time now. Of course, it is something we have also indulged in when we were in power; but this time I think we need to straighten issues and public purse operations, to ensure that my and the party’s conscience are clear, especially as we head for our re-entry to the Capital in 2014 through the ballot.

Mbwiiye,
Today, let’s start our argument by referring to American one-time celebrity Mike Tyson and his story, where he messed up his upward boxing career by biting the ear of his opponent in the ring.

Mbwiiye,
Sometimes it is good to say things openly before they get out of hand.
You will recall recently I was advising you on how to ensure that you talk national issues in the Capital Assembly and not waste time with idle talk, sectoral or mere constituency matters?

Mbwiiye,
Again, I have come to you to announce results of the just-ended party elections, where most of us went through.
Now, even if we have triumphed, I think there are lessons we have also learnt; notably, that we always need to play by the rules and avoid barbaric tactics.

Mbwiiye,
Today, as we look back at the sudden death of our beloved Professor Moya and reflect over what has happened in the last 12 months since the new CEO and company took over the reins of power in the Capital, it will certainly be fair to say a word or two.
We are, after all, as citizens of this Great Republic, free to make comments on what has worked and what has not. No?

Mbwiiye,
As we celebrate Martyrs’ Day today, do you have anything more to say to me about the prophetic words: that time shall come when a people will, like in the biblical times, gnash their teeth for lack of maize, now soaring to K11 000 per bag?
