Life through His death

Christ, himself, answered the first part of the question on his walk to Emmaus with Cleopa and his friend. Christ told the two that it was necessary for him to die for the sin of believers (Luke 24:25, 26).
Regarding the other part, God could have easily decided just to forgive our sins but that would make Him unjust and liar since God had already declared that wages of sin is death (Genesis 2:17; Romans 3:26).
So, being a just God, He had to carry out this punishment. There was no any other way. But at the same time God is love. His love made him to send His Son to bear the punishment of sin by dying on behalf of a sinner so that a sinner should still live through the death of Christ.
That’s how the death of Christ is important. Without it, no one could have been saved since there was no any way apart from his death. Now, knowing the importance of Christ’s death, the Evil one advances lies that Christ never died. But thank God, Jesus really died and later rose from the dead.
Happy Easter to you!
