Weekend of draws

There are enough TNM Super League matches to keep fans on the edge of the seats across the country this weekend. Today, struggling Escom United face Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium. I am not impressed with Silver’s form on the road whereas Escom’s fortunes have waned and they can drop points anywhere. A draw should be the verdict. Tomorrow [Sunday], Silver travel to Zomba to meet unbeaten Red Lions. Fatigue that comes with travelling and back-to-back games should take its toll on Silver although this could be mitigated by their depth. This will be another draw. While I am not certain about the outcome of the meeting between Big Bullets and Blue Eagles today at Nankhaka, I am convinced the People’s Team will beat Epac FC tomorrow at Silver Stadium with Heston Munthali being among the scorers. With Ishmael Thindwa yet to replicate last year’s form, Epac are never the same.
