‘Be responsible during the Easter period’

Director of the Road Transport and Safety Services (RTSS), James Chirwa, has appealed to people to be responsible during the Easter period to ensure their safety and safety of others on the roads.

Chirwa said in an interview yesterday that passengers should avoid boarding overloaded and over speeding minibuses while drivers should avoid over speeding as roads are usually busy during the holiday days.

RTSS is conducting awareness through their mobile interactive unit as well as radio stations to ensure that road safety is guaranteed during the Easter period.

The organisation is also conducting vehicle inspection to ensure road safety.
