Limbe Police Station spokesperson, Pedzisai Zembeneko, said Frank and three accomplices on August 23 robbed K10 million ($17 182.14) from Limbada Warehouse in Limbe.

Zembeneko added that the police managed to recover a pistol and a pump gun.

“The police arrested Frank and Douglas Sandram, 40, while the other two were killed by an angry mob in Makhetha, Machiniri in Blantyre. Sandram was discharged by the court and referred to Zomba Mental Hospital because he developed mental illness following the assault,” said Zembeneko.

However, Zembeneko said Sandram is expected to appear in the court to answer a robbery with violence charge which he committed soon after he was discharged from the hospital.

Frank and Sandram come from Safale Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Njema in Mulanje and Kalembo Village, T/A Liwonde in Machinga, respectively.
