The parents notified the police and together with surrounding members of the community we launched a search and recovered the dead body,” explained Mayawo.

He said post-mortem at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital revealed that Mvula died due to suffocation.

Mayawo has since advised parents to properly look after their children to avoid such incidents.

He said this year alone two kids have drowned in the dam.
