16 win in Farmers World raffle draw

Sixteen farmers have won different items in a raffle draw that was organised by Farmers World.

The raffle draw which was held at Farmers  World headquarters in Lilongwe on Saturday  saw four people winning bicycles while other four won a bag of fertilizer each. Four bags of cement were shared by four people while the other four winners got an umbrella each.

Farmers World executive personal assistant positioned for social responsibility Washa Chirwa said the competition which started early February this year cost the company K320 000 (US$794).

“This raffle draw is one way of appreciating our customers. We are very happy and thankful with the way Malawians across the country are supporting us by buying our products,” said Chirwa.

For one to enter the competition was supposed to buy any commodity from any of 85 Farmers World shops across the country.

“The buyer was given two receipts hence he was supposed to throw one in the box outside the shop to enter the competition,” said Chirwa.
