E-Wallet contestants choose own song

E-Wallet contestants stand a better chance of performing to their level best and impress judges this weekend at M-Theater following a new arrangement which allows them to perform songs of their choices. Since the competition rolled out, organizers of E-Wallet have been selecting songs for the contestants with assistance from media gurus and music experts. But Saturday’s showpiece will see them competing on their favourite
tunes, giving them a fair platform to shine. Chairperson of E-Wallet Felix Njawala said the arrangement is aimed at  increasing contestants’ chances of progressing in the competition.

Njawala said: “This is a deliberate move to help contestants to be flexible on their own song choices so that they can increase their chances of making it in the competition.” Rita will perform Take A Bow by Rihanna, Khumbo will do Walking Away by Craig Davis, Kennedy will attempt Never Been Home Sick by Jessy
Dixon, whereas Queen’s I want To Break Free will be done by Eunice; Kelvin will perform Soul Provider by Domain Virgo, Sigele will do Hallelujah by Alexander, and Shanice will perform I will Always Love You by Whitney.
This will not be an easy ride for them because judges look into different aspects of music to come up with the ultimate performer. According to Njawala, this year’s E-Wallet singing competition has
been designed in a dramatic fashion, with every show entailing elements of novelty or surprise.
During the last show, the audience was taken by  surprise as some of their favourite contestants were booted out of the game in the very first eviction show. The second eviction show will be headlined by gospel musician Ethel Kamwendo-Banda of Usachoke and Pamene Akondana.
