Three Zambia netball teams will be in Malawi on May 11 for a series of friendly games against five Lilongwe and Districts Netball league (LDNL) sides.

The journey of the three Zambian teams is a product of a joint netball committee that was formed between LDNL and Zambia’s Eastern Province Netball League (EPNL) of Chipata.

According to LDNL general secretary, Zachariah Kasakula, Kakos Sisters, Chipata Police and Panza (a military-based team) will play friendly games against LDNL sides on May 12 and 13 at Don Bosco Court.

The host teams are Cedar Queens, Don Bosco, Green Sisters, Model Sisters and Splash Queens.

“We have not included Blue Eagles Sisters and Civonets because the visiting teams cannot match them. We opted to give them matching teams for the games to be exciting,” said Kasakaula

He appealed to well-wishers to help with money to meet their budget of K300 000.

Last year, Model Sisters were invited to Zambia to participate in a mini-tournament where they finished third among eight teams.
