At least four contestants in the on-going E-Wallet singing challenge were shown the exit door Saturday night at M-Theatre in Blantyre, leaving eight others to proceed to the next show.
The contestants were evicted by the viewers of the E-Wallet through an SMS campaign monitored on Zodiak Television.
Shivers went down the spine of both contestants and fans the moment the host presenter announced that the time for eviction had come.
The sombre signature emanating from the sound console exaggerated the solemn mood as relatives and supporters of the contestants were engulfed in awe and anticipation as to who was going to be evicted on the night.
The strategy of the host presenter was perfect. He invited both potential survivors and victims of the eviction.
Every lot of invited contestants on stage had one or two faces being axed. At the end of it all, it was Annie Kapanda, Ernest Masi, ShadreckAmosi and MwayiMatiti who were booted out.
Amos, one of the evicted contestants, confessed on stage that he did not do well in the preliminary show hence he was not surprised with his eviction.
