7 celebrities to attend BBA 8 red carpet pre-launch
Seven Malawian celebrities will rock the red carpet on Friday when they grace the Big Brother Season 8 pre-launch event in Blantyre.
Dubbed The Chase, the 2013 Africa’s leading reality show BigBrother takes off on May 26 with 28 housemates from 14 participating countries with $300 000 (about K120m) at stake.
Several activities have been lined up by the digital satellite provider as the countdown continues.
The seven big names have been drawn from different aspects of the Malawi social scene such as sports, arts and entertainment.
“The guest list for the red carpet, pre-Big Brother The Chase event this Friday at Blue Elephant is now complete. They will walk on the red carpet and everyone will have a chance to take photos. We have a special photo booth for that,” said MultiChoice Malawi sales and marketing manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda.
He said there are several activities lined up to spice up the event.
The guest list in the field of sports includes Malawi soccer legend Peter Mponda, celebrated female boxer Agnes Mtimaukanena and netball legend Mary Waya who won the best Malawi netball player for over five consecutive years. Music producer Tapiwa ‘Tapps’ Bandawe and musician Limbani ‘Tay Grin’ Kalirani come from the arts industry with Malawi’s two-time Big Brother Africa representative and musician Code Sangala and BBA Amplified representative Felicia Ng’oma.
