The Police in Blantyre are looking for suspects who murdered a 75-year-old man at Solomoni Village in the area of Senior Chief Somba in the district.

Blantyre Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Andrew Mayawo, said the deceased, Lawrence Kandulu, was found dead in his house on Friday morning with blood spots in his nose. He was staying alone in a hut which is metres away from his relatives’ houses.police2

Mayawo said the relatives found him after checking in the house after noticing his absence. They then reported the matter to Milare Police Unit.

Postmortem results from Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital indicated that Kandulu died of suffocation due to strangulation.

Police have since called upon the general public to help them with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspected murderers.
