The theme is red… and yes, it’s Valentine’s Day!

Red dresses are perfect for Valentine’s Day. We wear this colour to express our feelings since red is associated with heartfelt emotions. It is a colour that symbolises lovers expressing their feelings and commitment to their loved ones.

It is only right, therefore, that you look breathtaking on this special day.  Hot pink, soft pink and white can also be worn on Valentine’s Day, as long as you accessorise these with red.

Valentine’s Day dresses can be evening dresses, party dresses, cocktail dresses, club dresses and even casual wear.

Evening dresses include long gowns or ball and beaded gowns made from silk, satin, chiffon or velvet fabric, elegantly designed or made into flowing outfits.

Party dresses should give a party look and feel; and can be long, fancy dress or mini dress.

Cocktail dresses are normally short, tea length dresses, while club dresses are usually sensuous, seductive dresses of red or any of the colours mentioned in metallic fabric for women.  Nothing less than a little red dress!

For a more casual affair, girls can top up a pair of dark jeans with a tiered red top and heels for a funky date with your sweetheart.

Accessorise your red attire with a scarf, or a statement necklace and of course, high heels.

Don’t be afraid to wear red from head to toe if you like. Find the most flattering hot dress for your figure!  Don’t be afraid to dress your feet in red!  How about red hot sexy nails and red hot lipstick to spice up your Valentine’s Day look?

The shade of red must look best on you and match your skin tone.  There are so many shades of red to choose from – scarlet, maroon, burgundy; the list is endless.

Make sure your clothing is simple, sober and smart. Wear something that reflects your style and attitude. I wish you a very happy Valentine’s Day!
