The Nigerian couple opted out two weeks into the 91-day show after Ola found out he has high blood pressure.

However, the reality show’s website quotes M-Net corporate affairs head Segun Fayose as telling journalists in Lagos that there were no conspiracy to halt Nigeria’s winning streak.

“There is no conspiracy by anybody to short-change Nigeria. If they stayed on, they could win. It is on health grounds that Ola decided to leave.”

The official added that MultiChoice conducted medical checks on the intending housemates before they were selected for the show but no evidence of hypertension was detected in Ola. —BBA
