Said Mpinganjira: â€œAs I said, the triumph is a special dedication to the State President for her support. The girls will be excited because that is what they are looking forward to.â€
On her part, Mtukule-Ngwira said: â€œThere would have been no better timely gift to the first female President than winning this tournament.â€
The Queens beat minnows Lesotho 59-18 to win the continental showpiece at the National Stadium in Tanzaniaâ€™s capital Dar es Salaam. They beat Zambia 56-33 in their opening game on Tuesday before defeating hosts Tanzania 34-30 on the same day.
