When it comes to winter style, warmth and comfort are two very important elements. The hottest winter fashion for this year includes cuffed trousers, metallic hues, ruffled tops, belted trench coats and vintage jewellery. Dark shades will always make a statement! Bright yellows, pinks, purple, red, carmels and periwinkles are the hot colours for this winter fashion season.

Metallic sheen tops and blouses with ruffles down the centre or along the neckline are a great way to dress up any outfit. Pair a ruffled shirt with denim jeans or a pencil skirt and sexy high heels. Try a pair of wool cuffed trousers with a long sleeve wrap top that ties at the waist and a pair of high heel ankle boots. To this, add a large leather tote, textured jewellery pieces and chunky drop earrings. Trouser suits can also alternatively be teamed with tunic dresses.

Longer-length or knee-length pencil- shaped skirts or slightly gathered at the waist skirts refuse to die. However, when it comes to creating chic winter style, stick with what works for you. Do not combine all the coolest fashion trends together into one outfit. Add one or two fashion pieces to your current wardrobe and simply mix and match. Colours that suit you stay in style and this is a long-term cost saving strategy.

Invest in a stylish belted coat that ties and buckles, one that falls just above the knees so you can wear with a skirt or a pair of trousers.
