‘Dressing full figured ‘plus-size’ women’
Does it really matter what you wear? I agree people should have choices about what to wear in general, but big or plus-size women have had it tough finding the right clothes for their bodies for a long time. However, fashion designers have now realised that bigger people love fashion just as much as anyone, so they have started using more material for the cause.
Big women no longer have to look like they wrapped the living room curtains around themselves just because they can’t find a nice outfit suitable for their bodies.
Fashion is all about highlighting the best and hiding the flaws. However, your fashion style should go in consistency with the trends and your personality; your body frame, skin tone, comfort level and personal attitude in order to determine your fashion statement.
If you are plump, avoid sleeveless cuts. Wear dark colours rather than going in for lighter shades, and if you wish to wear lighter shades, then prefer dull colours. In example, instead of sky blue, go for dull blue or dirty blue. Small prints and vertical lines will give you a slimmer look.
Fuller skirts below the knees will conceal wider hips – avoid high-waisted skirts and opt for A-line styles which will balance your shape.
V-necks will give you a slimmer look but avoid tight-fitting tops which are good for small or medium bodies. Loose fitting tops are better for your body type and will give you a sense of proportion.
