ICTP is a new grassroots travel and tourism coalition of global destinations committed to quality service and green growth.
The organisation engages communities and their stakeholders to share quality and green opportunities including tools and resources, access to funding, education and marketing support.
ICTP advocates sustainable aviation growth, streamlined travel formalities, and fair coherent taxation.
ICTP chairperson Juergen Thomas Steinmetz said in a statement: â€œMalawi is a gem of Africa. The people of Malawi are known for their warmth and hospitality and is the reason the country is nicknamed the Land of Smiles. With its diverse geography and unique culture, it is fitting for Malawiâ€™s Department of Tourism to become a destination member of ICTP.
