Multichoice Malawi has launched a campaign dubbed ‘Operation Wati must win’ in connection to the ongoing Big Brother TV series.

The seventh edition named Stargame ends on Sunday August 5 in Johannesburg South Africa with one winner pocketing $300 000 (about K81 million).

In an effort to see Malawi win the grand prize for the first time, Multichoice Malawi has launched a campaign which will see it encouraging people in the country to vote for Wati.

“We have noted that much as the show is popular in Malawi, only a few people vote,” said Multichoice Sales and Marketing manager Southern Region Chimwemwe Nyirenda.

“Wati has got all it takes for him to win and what is required is for us to vote for him especially next week when we will be voting for the winner,” he added.

Nyirenda said messages of goodwill about the country’s representative have an impact on other countries whose housemates were evicted as well as the rest of the continent.

Big Brother screens in 48 of the 53 countries in Africa.

Mtonthozeni Kachitsa and Lizzie Ndlovu, both from Blantyre will watch the finale live in South Africa.
