A meet of Chalamanda ’brothers’?

Veteran musician Giddess Chalamanda poses with Blantyre City Mayor Noel Chalamanda. Although not related, both Chalamandas hail from Chiradzulu. The pair struck a brotherly love when they met at a function in Mandala, Blantyre recently.

Chalamanda, the mayor, said he attended a function organised by the duo of Edgar Ndi Davis to drum up support for the legendary musician’s trip to the US.

He described Giddes as one of the country’s talented musicians who keep on entertaining fans despite his old age.
