Addition to last week’s article

I would like to make an addition to last week’s page three article titled Make yourself more approachable. While I agree with what was said on how women can make themselves more approachable to the opposite sex, especially when they are past their prime, I would also like to point out that marriage is not the be all and end all. True, a lot of people desire to find a suitable partner and settle down. Almost all women would love to have their own families to look after and love. However, just as with children, marriage is a gift from God, which is either given to you or it isn’t. You were either destined for it or you were not.

I remember listening to a sermon (sometime last year) on people going against God’s will and settling down with partners that were never intended for them in the first place, all because they wanted someone to tie the knot with. The result of this union is usually divorce or even worse.

Therefore, I feel it essential to show people the other side of the coin and let them know that finding a partner should not be their mission in life!
