Government has swiftly responded to demands of Agriculture Development
and Marketing Corporation (Admarc) employees by removing the
parastatal chief executive officer Margret Roka Mauwa.
Last week, the employees threatened to go on strike if government does
not remove Mauwa and two other managers for alleged abuse of office.
Mauwa has been replaced by former Parliamentarian for Salima Central
Felix Jumbe who was appointed Admarc board chairperson.
Mauwa has been seconded to the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and
Water Development. Government has also appointed Stain Singo as the new board chairperson
