Area 25C-based Adventures pool team on Sunday collected maximum points in two games to lead Group A first round of the Central Region Under-23 Presidential Cup.

Adventures beat Hakuna Matata Youth 5-0 and Mango 3-2 at Sunset to finish the first round on top with a clean record of six points.

Hakuna Matata Youth beat Mango 3-2 in their second game to be on second position with three points.

In Group B, regional defending champions, S5, are on top courtesy of a better aggregate over Incognito.

S5 trounced Red Sea 6-0 before playing a 3-3 draw against Incognito. Red Sea turned into punching bags after they suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Incognito.

Treatment are leading Group C after they collected full points in two games. They beat Siege 5-1 and Gulliver 4-2.

Gulliver are trailing the leaders with a three-point gap after they thrashed Siege 4-2.

Second round games will be played this Saturday, according to tournament director Benson Kaukonde.

In a related matter, Central Region Pool League (CRPL) leaders Michigan had mixed fortunes over the weekend.

On Saturday, they dropped points after they were handed a 9-3 defeat by Top level. On Sunday, they whipped S5 ladies 8-4. FIB trounced JTI 8-4 on Saturday before losing by the same margin to S5 on Sunday.
