“It will be good to win a third straight international bout as that will confirm my readiness for a title bout,” said Agnes in a pre-match interview yesterday.

Her rival could not be reached for comment yesterday as she was travelling by road from Dar es Salaam.

The bout, organised by Alufandika Boxing Promotion, will be curtain-raised by a welterweight fight featuring Agnes’ husband Briane and Bright Mdoka.

This will be Agnes’ third international bout this year following her return to the ring after a two-year break. She boasts six wins, two draws and a loss.

The former World Boxing Federation (WBF) light middleweight champion won both her previous bouts against Kenyan Joyce Awino (in July) and Tanzanian Amina Mhumbira (in April).

Her Tanzanian opponent, Salietiel, has a record of four wins, two losses and a draw.

In supporting bouts, Henry Muyaya will take on Chikondi Makawa. Charges will be K1 000 all round.
