Secretaries and personal assistants (PAs) from Auction Holdings Limited (AHL) at the weekend took time off their busy schedule to learn skills on how they can disseminate HIV and Aids messages to their colleagues.
AHL HIV and Aids coordinator Alfred Mlenga said the secretaries and PAs were chosen because they are strategically placed in organisations; hence, the right vehicle to carry the messages.
The Malawi Business Coalition Against HIV and Aids (MBCA) conducted the peer education training. MBCA capacity building coordinator Treza Chunda said the training, held at Travellers’ Lodge in Mangochi from Saturday to Monday, tackled HIV and Aids, tuberculosis and other emerging issues such as male medical circumcision, nutrition and behaviour change. There were 15 participants. In the picture, the participants take time off to pose for a group photo.—THE NATION
