Airtel Broadband golf rocks Zomba

Golfers in Zomba will today be treated to a day-long tournament sponsored by Airtel Malawi Broadband at Gymkhana Club.

Airtel Malawi corporate sales manager, Nchane Nkhwazi, said the tournament is meant to thank golfers for supporting the Airtel brand.

“Airtel is back in full force and as promised. We are keeping our word to grow our partnership with the sport of golf.

“Airtel believes that our diversity in the sponsorship of various sports disciplines provides an opportunity to interact with our subscribers at different levels, thereby building the brand muscle,” he explained.

Golf bags, modern handsets, airtime and various giveaways, courtesy of Airtel, await outstanding golfers at this tournament.

So far, 65 golfers have registered to participate in the tournament which tees off at 8am. This is the third golf tournament for Airtel to sponsor in two months. The other tournaments were at Nchalo and Limbe golf clubs.

Some of the notable golfers likely to feature today are Alfred Mtenje and Paul Chidale.
