All set for BT Fashion Expo

Organisers of the Blantyre Fashion Expo, Creatives, say all is set for the annual event tomorrow.

The event takes place along Victoria Avenue near Chayamba Building in Blantyre central business district.

Meanwhile, one of the country’s top designers, Lilly Alfonso, has joined the cause to exhibit her latest designer wear.

“We are excited that the hype of this year’s Blantyre Fashion Expo is growing each day with the joining of top fashion designers and artists,” said Marumbo Sichinga, one of the officials of Creatives.

Blantyre Fashion Expo is an annual event that seeks to promote fashion and talent among local designers and artists.

Apart from exhibitions of fashion designs, the event also has on display music performances, martial arts, acrobatics and a marching band.

This year’s event will be powered by Entertainers Promotions.

Alfonso said she will display some of her new designs which respond to the fashion needs of current generations.

“We are moving with time as far as fashion is concerned in Malawi and Africa as a whole. People should come to the Blantyre Fashion Expo and see for themselves,” she said.

Creatives is a group of young talented events management based in Blantyre. It strives to promote local products and talent.
