Copa Coca-Cola tournament divisional finals start this weekend across the country.

Carlsberg Malawi senior brands manager for non-alcoholics Titha Mbilizi said yesterday that all the groundwork has been done to set the pace for the crucial stage in almost all the country’s six education divisions.

She said Katoto Secondary School and Luwinga grounds in Mzuzu will host the North Education Division (NED) finals while Kasungu Teachers Development Centre (TDC) and Lilongwe Community Centre ground will host the Central East Education Division (Ceed) and Central West Education Division (Cwed) respectively.

“The Shire Highlands Education Division (Shed) will conduct their finals at Mulanje Boma Park. However, we will confirm by Friday venues for the games in the South East Education Division (Seed) and South West Education Division (Swed),” said Mbilizi.

In NED, the battle for the two national final slots will be among Yamba CDSS, Kaporo CDSS, Katowo CDSS, Ekwendeni Secondary School, Embangweni CDSS, Moyale CDSS, Bandawe Secondary School and Likoma Secondary School.

Salima CDSS, Nkhotakota Secondary School, All Saints Private School, Ntchisi Secondary School, Parachute Battalion CDSS and Nanthomba Secondary School will battle it out in Ceed.

Cwed encounters will involve Livimbo CDSS, Lizulu CDSS and Mtemambalame CDSS while Shed finals will engage Namalowe CDSS, Nsoni CDSS, Bvumbwe CDSS and Migowi CDSS.

National finals are expected to take place in Lilongwe from August 2.
