“The games will kick off the same day at district level,” she said.

Faki said the launch will start with a parade of the trophy in some parts of Lilongwe.

“We will have the cultural dancing troupe which will spice up the event.

“The main event is a game between defending champions Blue Eagles Sisters and Boma Sisters, “ she said.

Blue Eagles Sisters coach Madano Tepeteya said they are geared for the game.

“It’s not just an exhibition game for us. I know they will come flat out to dent our image. So, we are taking this game seriously. We will also take advantage of the game to feature some players from our youth side,” he said.

Blue Eagles Sisters has dominated the championship since its inaugural edition in 2016.

They beat their archrivals CivoNets in all the three meetings. n
