All set for Ha Bp invitational golf

The annual Ha Bp and Castrol Oils Suppliers Limited Invitational Golf Tournament will be held this Saturday at Mulanje Sports Club (MSC) with an increased sponsorship package.

The lubricants distributor’s managing director Harold Lungu said all is set for the tournament which will be played on individual medal format.

He said there will be prizes for winners in all categories as well as complimentary gifts for patrons.

“As is customary for this event, we take pride in sponsoring golf in Mulanje as a corporate social responsibility to the people within tea and macademia industry, where we have enjoyed a strong business relationship for over a decade.

“This event brings us closer to our clients and communities surrounding Mulanje Golf Club,” he said.

(MSC golf captain Ajay Singh said the event is fully subscribed and has drawn golfers from Nchalo in Chikwawa, Zomba, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.

“It will be an exciting experience for the golfers and we are urging others to come and bear witness on why Castrol is more than just oil,” he said.

Ha Bp and Castrol Oil Suppliers are the exclusive distributors of both BP and Castrol lubricants in Malawi and the firm is wholly owned by  local indigenous Malawians as part of BP’s endeavours to empower local entrepreneurs.

Christopher Mpanga and Connie Karuku won last year’s tournament in the men’s and ladies’ categories, respectively.
