All is set for the Summertime Gala scheduled for Sunbird Livingstonia in the central Malawi district of Salima on Saturday, organisers and artists have said.

DStv service providers MultiChoice Malawi have teamed up with Sunbird Hotels and Redspot to bring together fashion, music and sports to the lakeside resort.

Fashion designer Cathy Kamthunzi comes face to face with several musicians: Maskal, Dan Lu, Black Missionaries band and the Great Angels Choir.

On the sidelines will be children’s games, beach soccer and traditional dances.

Kamthunzi said she will showcase Cathy Kay summer fashion wear and beach attire.

“This is the first time I am showcasing my swim wear collection. Apart from that, I also have T-shirts, bags and sunglasses. My models will showcase the stuff,” said Kamthunzi.

Dan Lu, who is gearing for the launch of the album So What, said his Rockers Band is prepared for the waterside gig.

“We are prepared to give but the best,” said Dan Lu.

Black Missionaries leader Anjiru Fumulani said they are ready to dish out the music at the outing he describes as “a family affair”.

According to MultiChoice sales and marketing manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda, the DStv service provider will beam live on big screen a football match involving Chelsea and Arsenal.

“This is an opportunity for family members to enjoy together by the lake. Entertainment is guaranteed,” said Nyirenda.

Redspot director Talumba Chirwa said all performers have confirmed their participation.

The organisers have partnered National Bank to give free tickets to patrons who pay DStv subscription via MO626 online banking facility.
