According to the organisation’s executive director Moira Chimombo, this year’s initiative is aimed at raising funds for needy people in its areas of impact.

“We would like to offer needy students scholarships to go into training in a field of their choice, whether academic, professional, or technical. We expect these beneficiaries to be able to give back to their communities thereby serving as role models for future generations in their respective communities for long-term sustainability,” said Chimombo.

She disclosed that each student would need a minimum bursary of K500 000 per year, for a period of two years. Chimombo however, appealed for more support to the cause from well-wishers.

Golfers from Blantyre, Thyolo, Mulanje and Zomba are expected to take part in the stable-formatted competition.
