All-Stars basketball Feb 1

The cream of domestic basketball is expected to overflow on African Bible College court on February 1 when the Basketball Association of Malawi (Basmal) hosts an All-Stars Tournament.

Basmal vice-chairperson Ben Mlasaanthu yesterday said they would go ahead with the tournament without money prizes.

“Due to financial constraints, the winning zones will go with a trophy and medals. Other teams will get medals,” he said.

The event will attract top players from the Southern Zone Basketball League (Sozobal), the Central and Northern region leagues (Cezobal and Nozobal).

“Transport and food will be provided to travelling teams and FMB will square the bill for using African Bible College indoor court,” Mlasaanthu explained.
