Blantyre will party and dance it out with urban music stars at Blantyre Sports Club on Sunday, March 31; during a Carlsberg Entertainers All Stars Urban Explosion show.
The show which is expected to start at 10am till late will feature performances from Dan Lu, Wendy Harawa, Tay Grin, Armstrong, Piksy, Black Jack, Lulu, Elly K, Maskal and Barry One.
Topping the list are other urban stars such as Young Kay, Kumbu, Yesaya, Gwamba, Breaking Silence and the Disc Jockeys who will mix it all and make everybody go to the dance floor will be Kenny Klips, DJ Khumbo, Diktator, Boo and ken Nkombezi.
In an interview with music promoter Jai Banda, he said the show, fully sponsored by Carlsberg Malawi Limited is a platform for young urban entertainers who are all stars to showcase their talent to the public.
“Most of the times it is about music shows where only big names are available and this time around we have decided to give a chance and a platform to the youngsters in the urban circle to give out their best to the public.
“The show is also part of our Easter party since students from a lot of schools are going to be on holiday and it is a chance for them to celebrate their Easter with their urban music stars,” said Banda.
This is not the first time for the company to sponsor such a music event as recently they have sponsored reggae artist Anthony Makondetsa’s Fuko Lokondedwa album launch in Lilongwe and Blantyre with the aim of promoting local talent, as well as, Malawi music.
