The win was a sweet revenge for Angels, who lost in the first round.

Takondwa Lwazi, who doubles as a netball player, was at the hub of Angels’ victory, posting 19 points, five rebounds and a similar number of assists.

Lwazi, who also plays for Blue Eagles Sisters netball side, was helped by Joyce Mvula—another netball star— who recorded six points, four steals and three rebounds.

Sandra Mkandawire had eight rebounds while Aisha Ali who plays for Civonets, had four points with four steals and three rebounds.

Angels, won the second and third quarter 13-12 and 24-14 respectively while Clippers, inspired by Memory Chipungu, only managed to win the first quarter 8-6.

Clippers assistant coach Peter Nyangulu attributed the victory to good team spirit and hard work.
