Said Malimba: “We want to show our youths that anything is possible, the President, on a day like this one was in jail and today here he is with us. In life, one must never give up no matter how strong the storm might seem.”

He further said they will also hold a big walk to Lumbadzi Police Station, where the youths will paint the cell where the President stayed.

In 2013, Mutharika was arrested together with six other DPP members and charged with treason. The charges were later dropped when he became President.
