Armstrong, Dalisoul’s ‘hit’ on the airwaves

Musiye Ayende, a track by Malawi’s Afro-R&B singer Armstrong Kalua together with Zambia’s Dalisoul, aka Mwana wa Mukomboni, featuring Afunika has been released and is already on the airwaves.

The song is one of the three audio songs that Armstrong went to record in Zambia with Dalisoul last month.

In an interview on Tuesday, Armstrong said apart from the audio version which was recorded at Zambia’s Wave Energy Studios by Trickster, they also shot a video for the song.

“The video, shot in Zambia, is also out and it is on Africa Unite TV and Channel O. The song has gained popularity in Zambia as it has already won an award courtesy of a certain company there,” said Armstrong.

The song, also enjoying airplay on Malawi radio stations, talks about a man who does not really care and appreciate the woman in his life. The song tells the woman not to cling to the man but let him go, thus the title of the song, Musiye Ayende.

It details how merciless the man is despite the woman having done and given him everything he ever asked of her. It goes on to talk of how people change once they have found a person who loves them and how it is only God who has full knowledge of how a person thinks.

The Ndele hit-maker said he also recorded a remix of his song Ndekha which featured Dalisoul, General Kanene and B-one as the second song on their list, but it is not yet released.

“The usual plans were to record and release three audios and a video from one of the audios, but right now, we have only released Musiye Ayende audio and video since there are a few things that need to be done with the remaining two audios,” he said.

Armstrong said plans are underway that he should go to Zambia early April to finalise the recording of the two songs.
