Armstrong in Alfonso’s showcase

Malawi’s soulful singer Armstrong will keep the fire burning at Lilly Alfonso’s showcase at Sunbird Capital in Lilongwe Saturday night.

The red-carpet event marks the fashion designer’s countdown to her return to the UK where she is expected to take part in the October 27 launch of Anglo Nubia, a retail company which envisages linking Afro-designs with the international market.

“Armstrong is an amazing artist in a class of his own. We are very excited to have him on board,” said Alfonso on a posting on her mini-blog, Facebook.

Dubbed “Africa, the Experience”, the London event will happen at the prestigious Millennium Gloucester Hotel.
