Mizaya said one of the choirs that she is mentoring at Christ Citadel was launched on Sunday August 5.

She said the purpose of the children’s choir is to continue exploiting and promoting talent that is in children.

“It helps to get them when their voices are still tender. Actually, this is the fourth group of children I have been involved with. The first were Calvary Kids which I am still working with.

“I have recorded a new song titled Adonai which I worked on for two days and Mu Zonse which I am still working on with a group of teenagers that graduated from Calvary Kids,” said Mizaya.

She said working with children is great as they are easy to work with.

“My wish is to continue working with churches to help them establish children’s choirs in order to continue contributing to changing the scope of music in Malawi,” said Mizaya.

One of the children, Jerusha Chipingo, who also sings in Adonai Children’s Choir said she has benefitted a lot from the talent she got from Mizaya.

“I thank Madam Mizaya for training me. I am now a singer through the training I got from her. I also went to Sweden a month ago for the same music programme after the training,” he said.
