UDF_in_zombaUnited Democratic Front (UDF) presidential candidate Atupele Muluzi on Sunday challenged Zomba City and Rural residents to vote out of government the People’s Party (PP) if public resources, which he claimed are being plundered, are to be protected.

Atupele, who conducted whistle-stop tours in the city and surrounding rural areas, said UDF is poised to govern the country having already championed the agenda for change.

He said the party will remove the veil of secrecy on how public funds and resources are used. “I will also ensure that people have money in their pockets by creating job opportunities.

Fertiliser prices will also be drastically reduced to enable those willing to grow maize and various crops to afford a bag or two,” he said. Atupele added that local councils through ward councillors will be empowered to initiate development activities.
