Alufandika: Come for training

Azam Tigers regroup today for pre-season training and warm-up matches, technical adviser Robin Alufandika said yesterday.

Alufandika said they expected a full house, including new players as they start life under new coach Frank ‘Franco’ Ndawa who replaced Leo Mpulala last month.

“The new coach started work on February 1 and we hope we have done enough to retain our players from last season as we looked after them,” he said.

Alufandika hinted that they may beef up, “especially upfront with two or three quality strikers.”

Tigers started last season impressively, but the wheels of their campaign came off due to, among others, many draws that denied the Kau Kau silverware.

The training starts at the Country Club Limbe from 2pm.
