The Zimbabwean landed in Malawi on Monday ahead of his maiden shows in Lilongwe and Blantyre over the weekend.

He first performs at Robin’s Park on Friday night before wrapping up his Malawi tour with an afternoon gig at the Lilongwe Gold Club on Sunday.

In the country courtesy of Mizu Entertainment, Dr Tawanda will perform alongside Black Missionaries, Anthony Makondetsa, Lulu and Nepman.

Popularly known as ‘Unconquerable’ in Zimbabwe, Dr Tawanda said he is excited to be in Malawi.

“It is my first time in Malawi and I am excited and kind of nervous. However, I promise my fans that this is going to be their first time to see a young man with a big stomach doing magic on stage. They will also love my songs apart from Baba and I will also sing in your language,” he said in an interview.

Despite taking the upbeat root of music, Baba is a gospel song—a cry for help from God against trials and tribulations that one is facing in life.

While in the country, he plans to collaborate in a song with Nepman as well as clinching deals in terms of producing songs for local artists.

“Malawi music to me is good and I have listened to the likes of Nepman and he is doing good. Get this right, if I put a hand in production as well in Malawi, i can see you doing greater in the years to come,” mused Tawanda.

Born Tawanda Benson, but better known as Dr. Tawanda, is a young blessed and multi-talented vibrant international musician and music producer as well.
