The Danish club, that is under the tutelage of former Flames mentor Kim Splidsboel, signed Kanyenda until the end of the season in their desperate bid to avoid relegation.

Kanyenda made his debut for B 1893 last Wednesday against league leaders HIK as they went down 2-0.

And just last Saturday, Kanyenda’s club lost again 1-0 to Sollerod Vedbaek.

However, the battle-hardened striker is still optimistic about escaping relegation.

“We are still third from the bottom and if we can win at least two or three of our four remaining matches then we should be in the comfort zone.

“Kim and everyone is trying their best to avoid relegation and hopefully it will work out,” said Kanyenda.

B 1893 are on 14th position in the 16-team league with 28 points from 26 games.

Kanyenda had been without a club since he agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with Russian First Division side Dynamo Brynsky last year.
