Big Bullets board of trustees has restructured the executive committee set-up that has seen Higger Mkadawire being elevated to the position of general secretary replacing Ben Sawanga who has relocated to Zimbabwe.

According to a press statement co-signed by board chairperson James Busile and secretary Kinnah Phiri, the move is aimed at strengthening the team’s management in their quest to restore lost glory.

Busile on Tuesday said the move is part of its rebuilding drive in the quest to win Carlsberg Malawi sponsorship.

In the current set-up, Malinda Chinyama remains the club’s chairperson and he will be deputised by Gregory Madeya and Austin Kasito. The new vice-general secretary is Kondwani Jawati.

Geoffrey Tamutamu has been appointed treasurer with Rick Chikwekwe as his deputy.

The club’s legal adviser is John Gift-Mwakhwawa who will be assisted by Jawati.

The committee members are Sawanga, Vincent Skanda, Justin Nsosa, Kadango Gama, Amon Mluwira, Harold Mwayang’ana, Alex Gondwe, Sadik Malinga, Awen Mukala and Simon Eneya.

The Central Region representatives are Peter Chasweka, Oddie Banda, Joy Twaibu, Mphatso Kalipinde, Menula Ali and Saidi Anasi whereas William Chizaso-Chinula, Dorcas Chenda-Mkadawire and Stevie Kachimanga will be the team’s Northern Region representatives.

“We are appealing to all Bullets supporters and stakeholders to render their support to the committee,” reads part of the press statement.
