The Department of Immigration Services has granted bail to Big Bullets FC Burundian coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan who was arrested on July 5 for failing to abide by visa conditions.

Bullets chairperson Sam Chilunga yesterday confirmed that Ramadhan was granted bail later on the same day pending resolution of the issue with the authorities.

“He was arrested in relation to his visa conditions. He was granted visa for six months, but he was still required to renew it every 30 days, a thing that he did not comply with.

“Apparently, his understanding was that he did not need to renew the visa monthly having been granted six months. Nevertheless, we will sort out the issue on Thursday,” said Chilunga.

Ramadhan is yet to be granted a work permit as he is yet to finalise a new contract with Bullets having mutually agreed to terminate the initial one on technical grounds.

Initially, Ramadhan signed a two-year contract earlier this year under the KondiMsungama-leadership, but the club’s new administration and representatives of the coach agreed to terminate it and come up with a fresh one after noting that it had technical flaws.

Ramadhan has been assisting Bullets from behind the scenes, but cannot work on full scale, including sitting on the bench during matches in the absence of a contract.
