Big Bullets FC have said they are investigating Chimango Kayira and Gabadinho Mhango’s moves to clubs in Mozambique and South Africa respectively.

One of the trustees, Victor Msowoya, told the club’s annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday that they would like to get to the bottom of the issues.

“We are currently investigating how Chimango was cleared to travel to Mozambique because there seems to be confusion as the player is reported to have signed a contract with the Mozambican club [Costa Do Sol] as a free agent when both us and Escom United (now called Kabula United) claim that he was still under contract.

“The chairperson of the board of trustees has been entrusted to pursue the issue with the previous executive committee as well as United’s chairperson Fanuel Nkhono,” said Msowoya.

He added that they have since asked Fifa-FAM transfer matching system (TMS) manager Casper Jangale not to issue the ITC until the matter is resolved.

Jangale claimed that it was him who contacted the two clubs [Bullets and United] that the Mozambican club had sent a request for an ITC having signed the player as a free agent.

“I contacted the two clubs because they recently claimed that Chimango was on a running contract. So, I have given them up to Tuesday to produce the contract, failing which, we will proceed to issue an ITC,” said Jangale.

On Gabadinho’s issue, board of trustees chairperson James Busile said: “This is another issue that needs through investigation because we were told that Gaba was sold for K3 million and yet according to the information we have from FAM is that he went as a free agent.

“So, we do not know which is which. In addition to that, the document that the previous executive submitted to me was just a small piece of paper stating that the player was sold at R75 000. It did not even have an official stamp and it was vague. This is also another issue that we are investigating.”

One of the delegates at the AGM asked Busile why he received the document when he was not content with it, to which Busile said: “The fact that I received the document did not imply that I was contented.”

Commenting on the issue of Gabadinho, Jangale said: “Transfer records are supposed to indicate the amount of the transfer fee, but from the records that we have, the player went as a free agent after Bullets terminated his contract. So, how the issue of K3 million comes in can only be explained by his former club.”
