Nyasa Big Bullets outspoken technical director Billy Tewesa on Sunday poked fun at their bitter rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, saying Bullets would have loved to meet the Nomads in the finals of the Presidential Cup.

Tewesa said this in the wake of the Nomads’ exit from the tournament following a 1-0 loss to Moyale Barracks in the semi-finals in Mzuzu on Saturday.BULLETS

On the same afternoon, the People’s Team thumped Mafco 3-0 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

“We would have loved to meet ‘neba’ in the finals, unfortunately Moyale shattered our dreams. It’s always good playing Wanderers in the finals because of the hype that comes with the derby.

“But ‘neba’ should not worry, we will make Moyale pay by beating them in the finals,” said Tewesa.

Reacting to the loss yesterday, Wanderers general secretary Mike Butao expressed his disappointment.

“The coaches were warned. We are having too many slow starts, we are playing catch-up in almost every game.

“We have told them several times that against some teams, we will not be able to recover because they will close us out [after taking the lead] and that is what exactly happened. We need to learn to play consistently for 90 minutes,” he said.
