BB trustees endorse interim exco

Nyasa Big Bullets board of trustees has endorsed the interim executive committee that was appointed by the main supporters committee.

The resurgent board last week nullified the interim executive committee, saying it would appoint another one in consultation with the supporters body.

But the trustees secretary Jim Kalua yesterday said upon consultations with both parties, the interim executive committee that was put in place by the supporters committee, will be maintained.

“From the consultations we have had, it appears both parties have no problems with some of the names and we just need to vet and confirm them.

“The reason we took a consultative approach was that we did not want to impose names.

“We also need an assurance about the commitment of those that have been appointed because there have been instances when some people have attained these positions and then they disappear along the way,” he said.

On his part, supporters committee chairperson Stone Mwamadi said they still stick to the interim executive committee that they appointed.

“On our part, nothing is going to change. That is the committee that we came up with after thorough scrutiny,” he said.

The supporters committee appointed  Noel Lipipa as chairperson, Motenda Kanjewa as vice-chairperson, Anthony Nsendema as second vice-chairperson, Albert Chigoga as general secretary, Jack Mabvutula as vice-general secretary, Chifundo Makande as treasurer, Anack M’baya as vice treasurer.

The following were appointed committee members: Agatha Mphwiyo, Lugelio Kambalame, Joe Twalibu and Lewis Mwamlenga.
