Those that have followed her journey will recall how she is the epitome of beauty and brains, though her wit narrowly missed the crown by a whisker in the revived national beauty pageant now managed by award-winning media houses Nation Publications Limited (NPL) and Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

Manduwi: It is a memoir

With so many things on her plate, the 23-year-old is wearing new tentacles,  author of By The End Of Your Teens.

The book is an account of what she missed as a teenager.

“I started writing when I was 20 after discovering there are certain things I wish I had known in my teen years. It is a memoir that has a lot of lessons,” she said.

Manduwi said the book also contains research, and psychological theories, among others.

She says she hopes the book will inspire youths in the country to move from basic to real issues.

“Nobody was there to bring that much needed difference in me other than the usual stuff,” said Manduwi.

During the launch recently, the first 20 copies were auctioned for K1  million.

Manduwi has plans to distribute the book to secondary schools and colleges in the country depending on funding.

Pempho Khomba, who has read the book, said it provides insights on entrepreneurship, while calling on Malawian youths to know their way into their 20’s.

“The book is enlightening in the sense that it shares the author’s experiences and at the same time drawing on theories from other authors,” she said. n
